What to do on Happy Friday besides shopping, watching movies or having dinner with friends? Relaxing yourselves by joining our upcoming 2-Person Relaxing Experience that will be held at YHA Jockey Club Mt. Yow two will learn the basic skills of Thai Massage and how to use massage for health purpose like relaxing tight and painful muscles. Thai Massage can also help to relieve stress and anxiety. After the Workshop, you two would be able to help each other to relax anytime!
Besides, if you would like to have some further spiritual purification, you can choose to participate in the Early Morning Yoga Class (with singing bowl meditation) at the same time. Under the guidance of professional coach, you and your partner will complete a series of breathing, meditation and yoga exercises, your body will be refreshed and reactivated!

A. Thai Massage Workshop
Date: 23 Aug (Fri)
Time: 6pm-7:30pm
Venue: Multi-Purpose Room of hostel
Suggested Clothing: loose t-shirt/top + loose trousers/sport shorts (comfortable wear is preferred)
The activity will be held in the evening. Through demonstration, notes and explanation, the coach will instruct the art of massage, from the basics of traditional Thai Massage to more practical skills like etiquette, hand laying, alignment, positioning and line massage.
You and your partner will practice with each other and learn how to apply traditional Thai Massage to relieve muscle pain and tension, and ultimately fulfil the stress-relieving needs.

B. Early Morning Yoga (with singing bowl meditation)
Date: 24 Aug (Sat)
Time: 5:45am-7:15am
Venue: 270 Degree Observation Deck area
Suggested Clothing: t-shirt/yoga top + yoga shorts/pants/leggings
The activity will be held in the early morning in a peaceful and comfortable environment. The teacher will guide you and your partner to complete a series of breathing exercises, and take part in the meditation and singing bowl therapy to have deep relaxation.
Followed by a dynamic flow of yoga exercises, including detox yoga, sun salutation, etc., which will help to awaken your body and let you become energized for the rest of the day!

Coach Profile – Jamie Fung:
JamieJamie is a professional qualified yoga teacher specializing in teaching therapy and destress yoga, with a completion of 500-hour (EYRT-500) of advanced hatha yoga training, 85-hour (RPYT-85) prenatal and postnatal yoga training. She is a trilingual teacher of Cantonese, Mandarin and English.
Jamie acquired her knowledge in yoga under the guidance of the renowned yoga master from India, Mr. Yogananth Andiappan. Jamie has been teaching more than 800 students who are in various background, age and have different physical needs.
Besides conducting private and group classes, Jamie is also involved in different yoga activities, including being the teacher of a large scale brand activity and fund raising activity of NGOs. Furthermore, Jamie is also a qualified personal trainer with intensive training and enthusiastic in rehabilitation & restorative therapy. She attended a 30-hour intensive Thai Massage training course in Watpo Thai Traditonal Medical and Massage School in Thailand.
In addition, Jamie a columnist and an anchor with her own channel 《瑜人娛己》of DIVA of etnet. Jamie is also a model for sport apparels and swimwear who collaborated with different brands and participated in different advertising shooting.

This activity is not suitable for pregnant women, people in sickness, people who recently received any surgery, people who are suffering from high blood pressure or heart diseases and people who have neck & back, skeletal or arthritis problem.

 

Terms and Conditions:

  1. Limited quota, first-come first-served.
  2. Registration period starts from now till 23 August 2019.
  3. Participants must be the staying guests of YHA Jockey Club Mt. Davis Youth Hostel on 23 August 2019.
  4. Only registration of 2-Person will be entertained.
  5. Participants must settle the payment at registration and keep the confirmation letter/receipt until end of activity. Except for special situations listed on “Terms & Conditions”, no alteration, cancellation or transfer quota shall be entertained, all paid fee is not refundable.
  6. Applicable to participants who registered for Thai Massage Workshop only
    In case of insufficient enrollment for Thai Massage Workshop, the activity will be cancelled. Hong Kong Youth Hostels Association (HKYHA) will refund the activity fee (HK$ 700) to the participants yet they are still required to check in on original event day of activity.
  7. Applicable to participants who registered for Relaxing Combo
    In case of insufficient enrollment for Early Morning Yoga, this activity will be cancelled and Thai Massage Workshop will be held as scheduled. HKYHA will refund part of the activity fee (HK$ 650) to the participants yet they are still required to participate in the Thai Massage Workshop; if the enrollment for both activities (Thai Massage Workshop & Early Morning Yoga) is insufficient, both of them will be cancelled. HKYHA will refund the activity fee (HK$ 1,350) to the participants yet they are still required to check in on the day of Thai Massage Workshop.
  8. The fee includes coaching fee, relevant equipment rental and insurance; accommodation and meals are not included.
  9. Participants must provide full names in Chinese or English (same as that on Hong Kong Identity Card/Passport) for purchasing insurance.
  10. If participants are not able to attend or absent from the activity, all paid fee will not be refunded.
  11. Participants must be aged 18 or above. HKYHA and the coach have the right to ask for age proof.
  12. Participants must prepare and wear suitable clothing during the activity, HKYHA and the coach will not provide.
  13. The Thai Massage Workshop will be held inside the Multi-Purpose Room of hostel; while the Early Morning Yoga will be held at the 270 Degree Observation Deck area of hostel. According to weather condition, the venue of Early Morning Yoga may change to Multi-Purpose Room of hostel. Please follow the final instruction of the coach.
  14. Participants must follow the instruction of the coach and consider their own ability to prevent injury. HKYHA and the coach have no responsibility and liability for any physical discomfort or injury.
  15. This activity is not suitable for pregnant women, people in sickness, people who recently received any surgery, people who are suffering from high blood pressure or heart diseases and people who have neck & back, skeletal or arthritis problem. Participants should consult doctors before registration if they have any concern on their health situation.
  16. All participants should ensure their health in good condition and do not suffer from any illness that renders them unfit for the activity. In case of any injury or death happening due to negligence or concealment of relevant health or physical condition, HKYHA and the coach shall not be liable for that.
  17. Participants must study, complete and sign the Health Declaration, which will be distributed at hostel reception during check in. Participants must return the completed and signed Declaration to the coach before the activity starts. For those who do not complete the Declaration, they will not be allowed to participate in the activity, all paid fee will not be refunded.
  18. Participants must report to the coach immediately for any loss or damage of equipment. HKYHA and the coach reserve the right to make a claim from participants who damage or lose the equipment due to inappropriate use.
  19. HKYHA has the right to amend the details of activities without prior notice.
  20. HKYHA may conduct video and photo shooting during the activity. HKYHA reserves the right to use all the visual material(s) for any promotion of HKYHA.
  21. Adverse weather arrangement:
    Applicable to participants who registered for Thai Massage Workshop only or Relaxing Combo
    If Hong Kong Observatory announces that Thunderstorm Warning, Amber Rainstorm Warning Signal or Standby Signal No.1 is issued or will be issued before Thai Massage Workshop starts, the activity will be held as scheduled.
    • If Hong Kong Observatory announces that Red/Black Rainstorm Warning Signal, Strong Wind Signal No.3 or higher Storm Signal is issued or will be issued 3 hours before the Thai Massage Workshop starts, the activity will be cancelled. HKYHA will contact participants within 7 days from that day to update the new activity date(s). Original room reservation (on 23 August 2019) will be automatically rescheduled to the new activity date of Thai Massage Workshop, participants are not required to check in on original event date.
    • If Warning or Signal mentioned above is cancelled by Hong Kong Observatory 3 hours before the Thai Massage Workshop starts, the activity will be held as scheduled.
    The Thai Massage Workshop will be continued if the weather becomes unstable during the activity, all paid fee will not be refunded.
    Applicable to participants who registered for Relaxing Combo
    • If Hong Kong Observatory announces that Thunderstorm Warning, Amber Rainstorm Warning Signal or Standby Signal No.1 is issued or will be issued before the Early Morning Yoga starts, the activity will be held as scheduled, yet the venue may change to Multi-Purpose Room of hostel.
    • If Hong Kong Observatory announces that Red/Black Rainstorm Warning Signal, Strong Wind Signal No.3 or higher Storm Signal is issued or will be issued 3 hours before the Early Morning Yoga starts, the activity will be held as scheduled, yet the venue will change to Multi-Purpose Room of hostel.
    • If Warning or Signal mentioned above is cancelled by Hong Kong Observatory 3 hours before the Early Morning Yoga starts, the activity will be held as scheduled, yet the venue may change to Multi-Purpose Room of hostel.
    The Early Morning Yoga will be continued at the Multi-Purpose Room of hostel if the weather becomes unstable during the activity, all paid fee will not be refunded.
  22. Please refer to Terms and Conditions for Room Reservation for details about the adverse weather arrangement of hostel reservation.
  23. If participants register this activity, it is assumed that they have already read and studied the Terms and Conditions of 2-Person Relaxing Experience, and they will be followed.
  24. HKYHA and the coach have the right to reject or stop anyone from participating in the activity if he/she fails to follow the Terms and Conditions of 2-Person Relaxing Experience or instruction of the coach.
  25. HKYHA has the sole and final decision in case of any disputes.
