YHA Mei Ho House Youth Hostel Reception is open 24 hours.
Upon arrival, Hostellers should check-in at the reception with (i) valid identity document (e.g. Passport / Hong Kong ID / travel document) (ii) valid HKYHA / Hostelling International individual / group membership card and (iii) booking confirmation letter.
A deposit of minimum HK$100 is required upon check-in at hostel reception and will be charged by either cash or credit card. If the guest does not cause any damages or losses to the hostel during the stay, the deposit will be returned in full upon check out. Deposit to be collected as follows:
For staying of 1-28 night(s), HK$500 per Private Room or Private Dormitory; HK$100 per head for Dormitory Bed.
For staying of 29 nights or more, HK$2,000 per Private Room or Private Dormitory; HK$500 per head for Dormitory Bed.
Guests who stay at the hostels must be a member of the Hong Kong Youth Hostel Association or the International Youth Hostel Association (Hostelling International). If you fail to present a valid membership card upon check-in, you must apply the membership at hostel reception. Each member can bring a maximum of three non-members to stay at our hostels. Non-members are required to pay the non-member rate. Every hostel room / tent should be booked by at least one member.
YHA individual membership applies to in house guest only. The membership card may not be used by any person other than the cardholder.

Private Room / Private Dormitory:
Guests aged 17 or below must be accompanied by a guardian aged 18 or above, and are required to stay in a Private Room / Private Dormitory.
Each Private Room allows a maximum of one child aged 5 or below to stay for free together without additional bed. Any extra child will be considered as adult.
Guests aged 17 who have a Parent / Guardian Consent Letter stating that the hostel shall bear no obligation for supervising him / her and is not responsible for his / her behavior during his / her stay may stay unaccompanied in a Shared Dormitory.
No cancellation or amendment can be made once the booking is confirmed+. For other booking enquiries, please contact our reservation center directly via email ([email protected]).
If guests do not arrive the hostel on the scheduled date of arrival, no refund will be made. If their bookings are more than one night, hostel will reserve the right to cancel their remaining booking and resell the accommodation.

Special requests (e.g. specific room or bed) are always subject to the availability and not guaranteed. Hostel staffs will make appropriate arrangement depending on situations.
You must not exceed the maximum specified occupancy# of the room type which you have booked. If additional beds are needed, please contact HKYHA reservation center to check the availability and make the reservation.

The hostel is equipped with a common storage room. You can store your luggage in the room until 10pm. The hostel is also equipped with luggage lockers, HKD$10 per hour.
The hostel offers double/twin rooms, 3-person rooms, 4-person rooms/dorm, and 8-person rooms/dorm. Hostellers should indicate their requests upon booking.

The hostel will not provide disposable items, such as toothbrush and slipper. You can buy them at the 24-hour reception if needed. Towels are provided only in double/twin rooms, 3-person rooms and 4-person rooms/dorms. You can also rent a towel at the reception at HKD$10 (non-refundable) or purchase them at the reception.

The hostel room are not equipped with cooking utensils and will increase the risk of fire. Simple cooking equipment, such as microwave oven, can be found in the common self-served kitchen located on the G/F.
There are lockers in the dormitory room. You should bring your own locks. You can also buy a lock at the reception if you forget to get one.
Check-in and check-out time are 4pm and 11am respectively. Guests can request for late check-out at 2pm by paying an extra fee of HKD$100. During check-out, you should return the pillow case, bed sheet, duvet cover, key card, and TV remote control (except dormitory room).

The bed sheet and towels will be changed once in every three days (double/twin rooms, 3-person rooms and family rooms only). Guest can request for additional cleaning service, changing towels at HKD$30, changing towels and bed linen at HKD$60.
