April, the active period of Lyrids meteor showers. Hong Kong Youth Hostels Association has invited Calvin Ma, the former committee member of Astronomy Club of HKUSU to share tips of stargazing with us in Bradbury Hall (Chek Keng, Sai Kung) on 26 April 2019 (Fri)! Come and join us!

Meet Our Astrophile – Lyrids Meteor Showers
Activity date: 26 April 2019(Fri)
Venue: Bradbury Hall (Chek Keng, Sai Kung)
Transportation: Kaito Ferry – Ma Liu Shui Public Pier (Last ferry 3:00pm) / Wong Shek Pier (Last ferry 4:45pm)
Time: 6:30pm – 8:00pm (BBQ Dinner) ; 8:00pm – 10:00pm (Stargazing)
Target: Staying guests of Bradbury Hall (Chek Keng, Sai Kung) on 26 April night
Instructor: Calvin Ma (Former committee member of Astronomy Club, HKUSU)
Fee: HKD$228/person (excluding accommodation)
Fee Inclusive of:
– Beginners guide on stargazing & astronomy
– Free rental of torch
– Barbecue dinner

Terms and Conditions:
1. First-come, first-served.
2. Registration period starts from 26 March 2019 til 18 April 2019.
3. Registration and payment must be made by 18 April 2019.
4. The participants of the event must be the staying guests of Bradbury Hall (Chek Keng, Sai Kung) on 26 April 2019.
5. Participant aged 15 or below must be accompanied by an adult.
6. Hong Kong Youth Hostels Association (HKYHA) reserves the right to cancel the activity if there is insufficient number of enrollment on deadline date.
Fee will be refunded.
7. Each BBQ pack(for 2 persons) includes:
Beef steak x 2pcs, pork chop x 2pcs, chicken wing x 6pcs, sausage x 6pcs, shrimp x 4pcs,
BBQ fork x 2pcs, net/charcoal/charcoal starter/honey x 1pack (Drinks can be purchase at hostel)
8. Lyrids Meteor Showers are natural phenomena, Hong Kong Youth Hostels Association (HKYHA) will not guarantee their occurrence.
9. Hong Kong Youth Hostels Association (HKYHA) has the right to amend the details of activities without prior notice.
10. Hong Kong Youth Hostels Association (HKYHA) will conduct video and photo shooting during the activities. HKYHA reserves the right to use the participant’s visual material(s) during his/her participation in HKYHA activities – including any video or photographs – for the purpose of promoting HKYHA.
11. Except for cases of adverse weather conditions stated in “Terms and Conditions”, no alteration or refund shall be entertained.
12. Hong Kong Youth Hostels Association (HKYHA) has the sole and final decision in case of any disputes.
