Chinese Herbal Sachet Workshop
Chinese herbal sachets, as one of the intangible cultural heritage items rich in history and cultural significance, embody ancient people’s understanding of natural plants and their wisdom in everyday life. Beyond emitting a natural herbal fragrance, sachets are also believed to help repel insects, prevent dampness, purify the air, and promote relaxation, combining practicality, artistry, and folk cultural value.
This workshop invites participants to explore the traditional handicraft of herbal sachet-making alongside the wellness wisdom of Chinese medicine. Participants will learn about the unique fragrances and properties of different herbs, experience traditional weighing methods using classic balance scales, and personally blend herbs to create their own herbal sachets. Through the process of measuring, mixing, and filling, participants can reconnect with traditional culture and daily life while appreciating the warmth of craftsmanship and the aesthetics of slow living, adding a unique sense of ritual to everyday life.
