HONG KONG INTERNATIONAL MUSEUM DAY (IMD) 2016– HERITAGE OF MEI HO HOUSE
Public activities on 14-15 May 2016:
1. Distribution of special-edition admission tickets
To tie in with Hong Kong International Museum Day (IMD) 2016, special-edition admission tickets will be distributed to public visitors for free. The design of the special ticket will be a close replication of the “One-dollar-campaign coupon” issued by Shek Kip Mei Six Villages Fire Relief Committee in 1954. The historical coupon is now on display in the museum. Visiting the museum and spotting the differences between our special ticket and the original artefact will surely be a great fun for you and your family!
Upon presentation of this ticket, guests are entitled to enjoy 10% off all food and beverages in our new café “House 41”.
2. Additional guided tours
Apart from the usual daily guided tour at 10:30am, an additional guided tour will be held at 2:30pm on both event days. Guided by professional docents, visitors will also learn about the history of Hong Kong’s public housing development, the way of life and interesting stories of early resettlement block residents, and the architectural features of Mei Ho House.
Free of charge. Interested parties may enrol online or walk in. Limited quota of 20 people per tour, first come first served.

3. Extended opening hours of the museum
During the event days, the museum will open at 9:30am as usual. To allow more time for guests to enjoy the exhibition, the closing time will be changed from 5:00pm to 6:00pm.
