About the Programme

The Hong Kong Jockey Club Community Project Grant: Mei Ho House Hong Kong Spirit Learning Project

Mei Ho House was built in 1954 and is now graded as the Grade II heritage building. It is the first and only remaining Mark I H-shaped resettlement block in Sham Shui Po which marks the inception of public housing development and as an important part of Hong Kong's socio-economic development. With the donation from The Hong Kong Jockey Club Charities Trust, "The Hong Kong Jockey Club Community Project Grant: Mei Ho House Hong Kong Spirit Learning Project" was developed in order to encourage the younger generations to learn from the Hong Kong history and the striving and resilience spirit that constitutes to the success of Hong Kong.

The programme was first commenced in September 2014, and was renewed in 2017, 2020 and 2023. The main targets are the primary and secondary school teachers and students. It includes:
