Change or Cancellation of Booking

Change of booking

Except under the following circumstances, all requests for change of reservation (whether for changing the check-in date or hostel, or for reducing the number of hostellers) will not be entertained once confirmation slips are issued.
Members may change their check-in date should Typhoon Signal No.3 or above or Red/ Black Rain Signal be hoisted on that date; overnight charges are, however, non-refundable.

Members must summit the change of check-in date within three calendar months of the original check-in date, and the revised check-in date must fall within three calendar months of the day the above change is processed. Please telephone the HKYHA head office or directly to the hostel manager of the hostel concerned, for a change of booking under these circumstances. Kindly note that no change of check-in date will be accepted should the Typhoon or Red/Black Rain Signal be lowered four hours before the hostel check-in time.

Cancellation of booking

Cancellations should be made in person at the HKYHA head office during office hours.
Please bring your membership card, confirmation slip(s) and bank pay-in-slip(s) (where applicable). Refunds of HK$200 or above would be made by cheque and delivered by mail.

Latest announcements on reservation procedures by the Association should be deemed final.
