Places: for the dorms
Reservations and allocations are made either on per room basis or per bunk bed (in the dorm) basis. There are 38 bunk bed places in the dorms, divided into male dorm and female dorm: 2 dorms with 8 beds, 3 dorms with 6 beds, and 1 dorm with 4. Allocation would be decided by housemasters of the dorms upon check-in. There are 4 places in the rooms: 2 rooms with twin bed.

Scenic Spots / Leisure Activities Recommendation
1. Visit the world's tallest outdoor bronze statue of the Buddha – the Giant Buddha, and the famous Po Lin Monastery. 2. Climb up the Lantau Peak – the perfect location for watching sunrise and also for experiencing the beauty of nature. 3. Go hiking along the Lantau Trail or other hiking trails on Lantau. 4. Take a bus to Tai O and Tung Chung. 5. Take the NP360 Cable Car Service and visit the Ngong Ping Village

Food/Catering
1. Vegetarian meals are available at the Po Lin Monastery. 2. Variety of restaurants in Ngong Ping Village. 3. Vegetarian meals and Chinese meals are available at nearby restaurants during daytime. 4. You may prepare your own meals in the hostel kitchen or barbeque site. Food can be purchased from Mui Wo (Silvermine Bay) or Tung Chung in advance.

1) From Tung Chung take the NP360 Cable Car Service to Ngong Ping 2) From Central Take a First Ferry to Mui Wo (Silvermine Bay), Lantau Island, then take a New Lantau Bus of route no.2 to the Ngong Ping bus station.* Walk along the footpath on the left and follow the instruction signs of the hostel. It takes about 5 – 10 minutes to arrive at the hostel.
*The last bus departs at 5:50pm from Mondays to Saturdays, and at 6:20pm on Sundays and public holidays.

3) From Central or Kowloon Take a bus or the MTR to Tung Chung, then take a New Lantau Bus of route no.23 to the Ngong Ping bus station (The last bus departs at 6:10 pm.)** Walk along the footpath of the old public toilet on the left and follow the instruction signs of the hostel. It takes about 5 – 10 minutes to arrive at the hostel.

4) From either Mui Wo (Silvermine Bay) or Tung Chung Take a blue Lantau taxi (Phone: 2984 1328 or 2984 1368) to the Ngong Ping bus station or to the hostel directly. |
