Our hostel at Mong Tung Wan is far away from the hustle and bustle of urban life, with the glimmering coastal line and tranquil beaches at your reach. Hostelling here, you may enjoy the leisure and experience the more layback side of Hong Kong life by hiking along the trails, joining an orienteering, or going up the mountain for a stunning outlook of the coast.

Places: for the dorms
Reservations and allocations are made on per bunk bed basis. There are 80 bunk bed places in the dorms, divided into male dorm and female dorm: 2 dorms with 32 beds and 2 dorms with 8 beds. Allocation would be decided by housemasters of the dorms upon check-in.
Places: for the camp site
There are spaces provided for camping. For more details, please contact the office of HKYHA (Tel: 2788 1638)
Scenic Spots / Leisure Activities Recommendation
1. Enjoy the charming sunset right at the hostel or beaches nearby. 2. Go swimming at the beaches next to the hostel. 3. Go hiking along the skirt of the Chi Ma Wan Peninsula or follow the Lantau Trail for a walk.

Facilities
Quite beaches and seashore near the hostel, with campsite, barbeque site, kitchen, lockers etc.
Food/Catering
Catering service is not available at the hostel. And neither foods or drinks are provided for purchase. So, * you must prepare your own meal at the hostel kitchen or enjoy a barbeque at the hostel. Food and beverage can be purchased in Mui Wo, Cheung Chau or back in the urban areas in advance.

From Hong Kong International Airport, take A35; or from Tung Chung City Centre, take bus 3M; or from Mui Wo, take bus 1 or 4. Drop at Pui O. Follow the footpath across the fields from the bus stop and continue along Chi Ma Wan Rd until it leaves the sea edge. At a sharp bend in the road at Ham Tin, turn right onto the footpath by the sea and follow it to the hostel - about a 45-minute walk. Alternatively, you can take a ferry to Cheung Chau and hire a sampan to the jetty at Mong Tung Wan.
Contact for sampan (1. Mr. Leung: 9074 5334/9056 5095 or 2. Mr. Leung: 9215 0865/9219 0065). For better arrangement of the sampan, it is suggested to initiate the request at least one day in advance.
