Places: for the dorms
Reservations and allocations are made on per bunk bed basis.
There are 90 bunk bed places in the dorms, divided into male dorm and female dorm: 2 dorms with 24 beds, 1 dorm with 8 beds, 1 dorm with 6 beds, and 7 dorms with 4 beds. Allocation would be decided by housemasters of the dorms upon check-in.

Places: for the camp site
There are a total of 60 places at the campsite.

Scenic Spots / Leisure Activities Recommendation
1. Go fishing at the Chek Keng Pier
2. Go Hiking in the Sai Kung East Country Park. You may choose your path from a wide range of trails like the Family Walk, MacLehose Trail or those along Tai Long, Ham Tin, High Island Reservoir, Sharp Peak. (Please contact the Hostel Manager for detailed information.)
3. Go swimming at the Ham Tin Beach
4. Engage in a variety of water sports at the Wong Shek Water Sports Centre

Facilities
Barbeque site, kitchen, lockers etc., plus a spacious campsite with panoramic sea view.

Food/Catering
Catering service is not available at the hostel. You may prepare your own meal at the hostel kitchen or enjoy a barbeque at the hostel. Food and beverage can be purchased in Sai Kung town in advance.

Transportation
1. From Choi Hung Railway Station Exit B
Take a KMB bus of route 92 or a green minibus of route 1 to Sai Kung Bus Terminal, then take a KMB bus of route 94 to Wong Shek Pier. *Take a ferry or a sampan to Chek Keng Pier or **walk on foot to where the hostel locates.
2. From Diamond Hill Railway Station
Take a KMB bus of route 96R to Wong Shek Pier (On Sundays and public holidays ONLY). *Take a ferry or a sampan to Chek Keng Pier or **walk on foot to where the hostel locates.
3. Groups over 20 people may arrange a coach to the Chek Keng hostel directly through the Pak Tam Chung gate after registering for a temporary entrance permit to the Sai Kung Country Park. Arrangements have to be made through the YHA head office at least 14 days in advance by phone (2788-1638) or by fax (2788-3105). Please provide 1) a copy of the booking confirmation slip, 2) the date and time of entry, 3) the total number of seats on the coach, and 4) the vehicle number.

Please present the membership card and the booking confirmation slip at the gate for entrance approval.
Sai Kung Country Park reserves the right for final approval.

* From Wong Shek pier public ferry services to Chek Keng pier are operated by Tsui Wah Ferry Service (HK) Ltd. On Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays only. Phone: 2272 2022 or 2272 2000

* Hostellers may alternatively negotiate the hire of a private sampan from Wong Shek pier to Chek Keng pier at anytime.

** Hostellers who wish to access Chek Keng by foot may take any form of transport mentioned above to arrive at the Pak Tam Au, then follow the footpath of MacLehose Trail to Chek Keng Village, and to the hostel. It takes about 40 minutes.
